Van Cleef & Arpels
An exceptional VAN CLEEF & ARPELS Mystery Set ruby and diamond Double Boulé ring, crafted in platinum and dating to circa the 1970s. The design reinterprets the aesthetics of an emblematic creation in the Maison’s history: the Double Boulé ring, designed in 1966.
One side is enveloped in approximately 4.50 carats of meticulously fitted Mystery Set rubies, forming an uninterrupted mosaic of vivid crimson that follows the ring’s voluptuous Boulé contours with virtually no visible metal. Opposite, approximately 3.50 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds create a dazzling counterpoint, their scintillation heightened by the rubies' depth and intensity.
The opposing Boulé forms sweep gracefully around the finger, giving the ring a sensuous, sculptural presence that is both dramatic and beautifully balanced, an expressive example of VAN CLEEF & ARPELS’ mastery of color, volume, and exceptional stone-setting.
