A bejeweled and notable set of mid-century retro bracelets by Van Cleef & Arpels exhibiting a design emblematic of the Maison: the domed voluminous forms of 'Pelouse' (in some books this look is also referred to as 'Lawn'). Circular gemstones in a continuous bombé shape are brilliantly mounted in yellow gold prongs. Angular geometric stripes are intermittently painted with white diamonds and green emeralds throughout, offering breaks of complimentary colors within dimensional sapphires. In addition, the convex nature and varied clarity of the gemstones capture light capriciously. The look is similar to decorative ‘petit point’, however, the design holds functional value as well.
