CARTIER Panthere Vintage Diamond Ruby Sautoir Necklace in Platinum.

A vintage Cartier Panthere sautoir necklace dating from the 1980s, with a faceted diamond chain interspersed with cabochon rubies and an iconic and poised sautoir. The chain is wrapped casually around the pendant which features the illustrious panther - carefree in a contrapposto atop a ring of onyx with an articulating back leg, paw, and tail. The entire figure is covered in impeccably-set diamond pavé, peppered with custom-cut black onyx cabochons throughout, and topped with emerald eyes. The Panthère de Cartier made its first appearance in the Maison's collections in 1914. Since then, it has become a symbol of strength and beauty for the jewelry house to present day.

Diamond weight approx. 15.00 carats total. Ruby weight approx. 2.50 carats total. Chain measures approx. 0.20" in width, 0.18" in height, approx. 16" inner circumference. Pendant suspends approx. 2.25" in length below the chain, 1.40" in width, 0.65" in height off the clavicle. Seamless/hidden pressure clasp with safety.
