HARRY WINSTON Emerald Diamond Cluster Detachable Earrings
HARRY WINSTON Emerald Diamond Cluster Detachable Earrings
HARRY WINSTON Emerald Diamond Cluster Detachable Earrings in Platinum.
A noteworthy pair of on-the-ear clips from the 1960s, by Jacques Timey for Harry Winston. This stunning pair features the recognizable Harry Winston cluster design which was launched in the 1940s and is emblematic to the high jewelry house to present day. In typical assemblage, the configuration of the diamonds is fixed in various tiers and at slightly different angles. This allows light to be captured and reflected with radiance beaming from all directions to emphasize the exquisite gems known to the brand. In addition, two pear-shaped, saturated emeralds drop below and detach into separate earrings. The emeralds are uniquely cut; faceted to resemble a rose-cut on top with the reverse equally faceted. which makes this lean gem maximize the surface area and light refraction. The bright white diamonds starkly contrast the green emeralds and add to its intensity of color. We love this voluminous design and how it gives the illusion of atmospheric gemstones floating around the ear and nape of the neck.
Emerald weight approx. 10.81 and 9.70 cts. Top area measures approx. 0.50" in length, 0.42: in width, 0.22" in height off the ear. Detachable bottom pendant measures approx. 1.20" in length, 1" at widest point, and 0.40" in height off the ear. All four pieces are currently for non-pierced ears, however, posts can be added for pierced ears.
Includes "PT950" hallmarks, numbered with Jacques Timey maker's mark (albeit a tad faded); circa 1960s.
