Madagascar Sapphire Diamond Ring 5.51 cts

A horizontal oval-shaped unheated sapphire from Madagascar with a gorgeous blue velvet color, set among step-cut white diamonds and bright white platinum, which both allow the colored gem to emerge. The halo of diamonds from top view is an interesting configuration with each side flanked with trapezoid-shaped diamonds and straight baguettes. Was most likely designed as a pinky ring but can be adorned on any finger.

Sapphire weight approcx. 5.51 carats. Sapphire appears to have no heat treatment, nor clarity enhancement. .

Diamond weight approx. 2.50 carats total, FG color, VVS-VS clarity. The dimensions of the ring are approx. 0.67" in width, tapering to 0.15" and a height of approx. 0.50" off the finger.

Ring Size: US 4.75; can be resized.

Includes AGL Certificate for the main sapphire. Circa 1970s.
