This large-scale cuff bracelet features a hammered, free-form design made of polished yet textured yellow gold. Its surface is adorned with amorphous, dimensional shapes, and the edges are intentionally uneven. The bracelet is representative of the many exotic themes that inspired the designers at Van Cleef & Arpels. It draws influence from late Etruscan hammered and embossed work, merging ancient and contemporary styles. Produced in a limited edition in the 1970s, the cuff is crafted from seemingly rough gold that has been polished to a high sheen. Notably, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis owned a pair of these bracelets and was photographed wearing them at various events, including while conversing with boxer Muhammad Ali.
